While we see them again and again at boating events all over California and Arizona, our focus is usually on the boats, distracting us from the mind-boggling lengths these daredevils go to in order to capture those amazing aerial shots and video we love so much.


 

 

 Literally hanging on by a thread, this photographer is fearless as he strives to capture the perfect panoramic scene of the Poker Run boats staging in Thompson Bay.


 

 

A videographer hangs perilously at the mercy of his harness while he films with both hands.

Skimming full throttle  just above the water is all in a day's work for these brave hot shots.
 

 

 
This pilot frequents the Bridgewater Channel.  For $50.00 per person he will take two passengers at a time on a short flight over the island then to Copper Canyon and back.
 

 
 

 

The end goal is to capture amazing video like this one of Derrick Gilchrist of Raleigh NC and his 40' Nor-Tech Roadster, Cuttin' Loose, making an impressive Shootout pass.  Footage like this sends chills down the spine of every true performance boater!
