The Pacific Offshore Powerboat Racing Association's mission is to have fun, meet new and old friends, travel to great race sites and race fast boats. It’s a simple combination of food, fun, camaraderie and racing that both racers and fans enjoy. POPRA offers eight Performance Classes, however, any class of offshore boats is welcome and can race under their own set of rules as long as there are three boats competing in that class. Otherwise, any boat can fit into one of the speed bracket Performance Classes. Performance Class racing is an inexpensive way to come out and race your boat. There are no strict engine specifications to follow, as long as your boat can run 65 MPH, you can be competitive in Performance Class Racing. POPRA thrives on providing highly competitive entertainment to race fans wherever they go.

The Southern California Offshore Powerboat Elite or (S.C.O.P.E.) club is the premier offshore performance boating club in the Southern California area with a strong local membership of fun-loving performance boaters who enjoy an event filled calendar, plus the safe and organized atmosphere that SCOPE is known for, including events for the whole family.
